Relaxed atmosphere is ideal for swimming and water sports activities. Sunset in Mirissa Beach is quite beautiful and very romantic. It is said that Mirissa was relaxed with the idyll of what was once Unawatuna Beach. Many people travel here including couples, families with children, peace-seeking tourists. Many surfers travel too, to ride the waves in Mirissa Beach.

Surfing, especially at the western end of the beach, where the results are very impressive waves. The eastern part of the beach, near so-called stone cockatoos is famous for snorkeling.

Mirissa beach is located between the towns of Galle Weligama and Matara, can be reach within 45minutes of travelling by Bus from Galle, 15minutes From Matara and 10minutes from Weligama.
